accounting job

Waqar is our CIA exam blogger from Pakistan. He is going for Part 3 as his first attempt of the CIA exam.

Hey guys I am really sorry for writing so late, but I was having a problem with IIA with my documents. It was resolved some days ago when I received their email regarding my registration completion for the CIA certification program.

The problem aroused in the CCMS. I was stated not eligible for the CIA program because it was showing I did not provide all the documents needed for the application to complete. I was really upset, and I emailed IIA and it took I think one and half week before they replied to me and sorted out the problem another week after.

This is the quote for all the working professionals. Hope you like this:

The Struggle you’re in today is developing the strength you need for tomorrow”

Moving On…

Now that I have solved the problem with IIA, I am now concerned about the course content as it was true that it is one inch deep but miles long.

When I started, I thought I could complete this in 3 months, but then, I am now surprised by the volume of the course content. I have to say that many topics were already covered and our mentor was pushing his schedule to end the course.  The course is about to complete. All that remain is for us to revise the course before taking the exam.

It’s really hard with my schedule because I am now a scheduled robot with job, CIA and MBA plus I have to fulfill the CMA Continuing Professional Education (CPE) annual hours. This is really a challenge for me to go through everything with my schedule…

BUT, as stated in the above quote, struggle will become the strength tomorrow so I am trying best. I have deviated from the original plan which was to take the exam in December, but I believe, just like budgets, we need to tailor our plans.

I will write to you soon to share my progress and share the date I am taking the exam.

Regards,

Waqar Akmal, CMA

Note from Stephanie

Hi Waqar, I can totally imagine how busy you can be, so we patiently wait for this post. Really appreciate you keep us updated despite your crazy hours. You are always the hardest working young man who push to your limits. Keep up with the excellent work (but stay healthy!)

Thank you for sharing your hiccup in the registration. It happens from time to time, and it’s good for us candidates to have some expectation on this sort of thing. It’s good to have a happy ending, that the issue is solved. Looks like IIA is helpful — it probably could be a bit faster if not during the holiday season. But anyway, let’s move on 🙂

For new readers who wonder what the registration is all about, please read this post (in normal circumstances it’s quite straightforward).

Waqar, we look forward to your sharing on the progress and the exam date!
