Plans after the CIA exam

Hi everyone! Thank you all for your warm greetings as I passed the third (and final) part of CIA exam. Until now, I still can’t believe that I passed the toughest exam among the three. If you may ask, I have posted blogs on my preparations and study techniques for my CIA exams. You may want to check it out here.

My Plan after the CIA Exam

After passing this exam, I plan to relax and celebrate, look for a job and I look forward to pursue more certifications and training.

I enjoyed my free time and my parents decided to throw a small party with my family and closest friends as a celebration. We wanted to go on a vacation with my family but, there’s a conflict with schedule between my mom and my brother.

What I miss the most when I was studying is watching movies. I actually sacrificed everything for the certification, and I believe it’s worth it. The day after I passed, I borrowed movies to watch with my brother which he bought online.

After all the celebrations and get-together, I look forward to start working and get a job. As of now, I am still undecided what to work for between audit firm and private company.  Even though I am not certified yet since I need one more year of experience to be able to be certified, I can feel the benefit of the certification. This week, I’ve been through a series of interviews from different companies and invited for interviews also in the following week. Hopefully, by the end of this month, I would be employed.

Now that I passed the CIA exam, I am looking forward to study specialty certifications like Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) , Certification in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).  I am still undecided with CCSA if I am going to push through the certification or if I can use it in the future.

I will share my thoughts and will continue to blog about the specialty certifications in my next post.

Note from Stephanie

It’s so nice of your parents hosting a party of celebration. And watching a movie with your brother — such a loving family! I am sure your family and friends are part of the reason of your success.

I would love to know more about the specialty exams as well. I’ve got questions from readers from time to time. It would be super if you are able to go through one (or even more) of them!
